Routes into teaching

School Direct Programme

This is a full time salaried one-year course. We offer placements at our primary schools through the Coventry SCITT providing ongoing support by the Trust along with opportunities to gain practical experience whilst you learn.

Teach First Programme

Partnered with Teach First – a national charity – this a two-year programme resulting in Qualified Teacher Status and offers graduates the opportunity to train as a teacher as well as a placement within the school. This is a salaried programme, which provides support by the Trust and Teach First, along with opportunities to gain practical experience whilst you learn. Prospective teachers will need to apply directly to Teach First.

Teaching foundations

To fully support you in your NQT year we will offer you a 12 month structured and supported development programme within the school and an assigned mentor to support you. You will have the opportunity to attend regular events to meet with other NQTs, share experiences and build your professional network.

You will also be joining a highly skilled and supportive team with exceptional and experienced teachers and inspirational school. CPD and Trust-wide collaboration is high priority for us and critical to our success as a Trust.

We offer our teachers the opportunity to grow their career in different roles including; additional responsibilities, Subject Leaders and Leadership within schools and across the Trust.

Senior Leaders

Our Senior Leaders play a pivotal role in helping shape and support education across the Trust. We offer competitive salaries and leadership and executive development opportunities across the Trust. You will have the opportunity to engage with our system leaders, working with other experienced and inspirational colleagues to help plan and shape our approaches to benefit our wider community. As well as on going CPD, we offer a range of leadership and management programmes to support your career advancement.

 

Education Support: From Learning Support Assistants to Cover Supervisors and Pastoral Support, the Trust offers a large range of opportunities.  If you want to make a difference to the learning experience of children, one or our many educational support roles may be the ideal role for you.  All employees are provided with appropriate training and support as well as opportunities to develop your career.
